Uncle Bob’s doggerel

To be recited as quickly as possible, particularly the last sentence.

One hot day on a cold dark night
Two dead boys went out to fight.
One was blind, the other couldn’t see
And that was the reason
They couldn’t agree.
A deaf policeman
Heard the noise
And he came out and killed
The two dead boys.
Amen, brother Ben,
Shot a rooster, killed a hen.

“Authentic frontier gibberish,” I swear. Learned it when I was about 10 from Uncle Bob.
